Welcome to HitTrack

HitTrack is a straight-forward Dungeon-Master's assistant for the iPhone. It does only one job, but it's an important job: it tracks hit points. For your characters, for your party, for the NPCs. Designed to be fast and simple to use, HitTrack is a great tool for tracking one of the most volatile stats in any game. It supports any D20 game, from 3e forward, although 4e players may have no clue what "subdual" is for.

Using HitTrack

Characters Screen

Each time you launch HitTrack, it always starts at the "Characters Screen". This list provides a quick overview of every character you're tracking, allowing you to see the HP status of your party at a glance. Swipe any entry to bring up the option to delete it. Use the "Edit" button to modify this list- mass deleting or re-ordering the characters in the list. The "+" can be used to add a new character. The "i" button brings up this help.

Edit Character Screen

The "Edit Character" screen allows you to control the name and HP of a character. Your work here is automatically saved, so by simply using the back arrow on the toolbar, you can return to the previous screen.

HP Tracker Screen

Core Features

This screen forms the core of the HitTrack application. At the top of the screen, you can see the currently active character's name. The "edit" button on the side will allow you to change the name and HP total of this character. The back button will return you to the character's screen. Changes here are automatically saved.
Below that, you see the master HP status for this character. The sliders beneath that allow you to heal or harm with a single swipe. By grabbing any of the three sliders, and pulling to the right of the screen, you can add damage to a character. The Lethal and Total sliders both increase the total Lethal damage applied to the character, while the Subdual slider adds subdual damage to the character.
Since healing reduces damage to both the subdual and lethal tracks on a character, the only way to heal is to drag the Total slider to the left.
As you move the sliders, a supplementary display appears to tell you how much damage or healing you're about to log.

Extra Goodies

What if you slip, and deal a huge amount of damage when you only meant to log 4HP of damage? Simply shake the phone, and you'll have the option to undo. The HP Tracker Screen supports unlimited undos, so long as you keep working on this one character.
But what about quickly switching between characters? Simply swipe horizontally and you can cycle forwards or backwards through your list of characters. The order here is controlled by the order on the Characters Screen. This is a great way to track initiative while you're running a game.
